Ladakh is like no other land. Bound by two of the world’s mightiest mountain ranges, the Great Himalaya and the Karakoram, Ladakh is full of gorgeous geography, nature and beautiful devout Buddhist people. The terrain is difficult, the climate harsh but when you are there you are surrounded by these magnificent  mountain ranges and you feel like magic is in the air.

Ladakh is difficult to reach but worth the trip. Once there, the views one gets from driving along the Srinagar -Leh highway  are so beautiful. Monasteries are spread across the region. Chanting reverberates through the air. Lucky to be asked to be part of a photo project by Inger Van Dyke and the Women’s Alliance of Ladakh. I got to travel through the country staying with traditional nomadic women in all the regions.
